Directions of psychological assistance to disabled children with kidney disease at the stage of dialysis and after transplantation

The article is devoted to the actual socio-psychological characteristics of children and adolescents with chronic kidney disease, who need constant medical monitoring of their health and psychological support to reduce the severity of negative experiences. Based on the analysis of Russian and foreign experience, it is shown that when determining the content of psychological and pedagogical assistance, one should focus not only on the psychological needs of the patient, but also take into account the severity of the condition and the stage of the disease. It reveals the algorithm, effective methods and techniques of psychological and educational work with sick children at different stages of treatment. The foreign experience of interdisciplinary interaction in the process of complex rehabilitation, implemented at the University Hospital of Heidelberg, Germany, is also presented. It is shown that because of the close cooperation of the clinic with educational organizations (kindergartens and schools), it is possible to improve the quality of life of patients, to increase their social activity. Special attention is paid to organizing self-help groups for families of patients undergoing long-term treatment, as well as therapeutic summer camps.

Contemporary directions of psychological and pedagogical training for medical staff in Pediatrics

The article substantiates the need to improve the pediatricians’ skills in the field of psychology of communication with the patients — children — and their parents in accordance with the Concept of continuous (lifelong) medical and pharmaceutical education in the Russian Federation. The article determines the directions of psychological and pedagogical training for the specialists in Pediatrics and forms of their implementation, considering the competence approach.

Features of the organization of the educational process for schoolchildren with rare diseases (on the example of glycogen disease)

Creating a varied learning environment for children with rare diseases is a necessary condition for their effective treatment, education and socialization. In order to assess the psychosocial functioning of disabled children with glycogenic disease, and to formulate suggestions for optimizing the educational process, a continuous prospective study of 37 disabled children (average age 13.5 years) with glycogenic disease - elementary school students 62, 2% (23 people) and 37, 8% (14 people) - teenagers was conducted. The following methods and techniques were used: analysis of the child's medical documents, unstructured conversation with a parent about social conditions of the child's life, questionnaire on the organization of the child's educational process for specialists (teachers and psychologists), and a questionnaire «PedsQL 4.0 Generic Core Scales». It is established that when organizing the educational process of children with glycogen disease, it is necessary to take into account the type of GB and, as a consequence, physical and psychosocial functioning, as well as the organization of the treatment process.

Directions of interdisciplinary interaction of paramedical personnel of the pediatric institution and specialists in the psychological and pedagogical profile

In the article the main directions of interdisciplinary interaction of the average medical personnel of the pediatric institution and specialists in the psychological and pedagogical profile are highlighted: establishing effective communication with the child and parents, providing emotional support to the child and parents in a stressful situation, creating comfortable conditions for patients in the process of medical manipulation and stay in the department, teaching parents and children to perform routine routines, and preventing their own emotional burnout.
