Complex medical-psychological-pedagogical support of children with disability
The articles in this almanac are written by the specialists from the two leading institutions in The Federal State Budget Scientific Institution "Institute of Special Education of the Russian Academy of Education" and Federal state autonomous institution "National Medical Research Center of Children's Health" Of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. This edition is a result of joint collaboration between the researchers and experts to renew our perception of the rehabilitation of children with disabilities. The central theme of the articles is the application of the fundamental principles of Russian correctional pedagogy and specialized psychology to the system of childcare.

Problems of adolescent health in the Russian Federation

There are data on the health status of adolescents (aged 15-19 years) in the Russian Federation for the period 2006-2016; official statistics are given for the causes of morbidity and disability of adolescents, socially significant pathologies and diseases. It is shown that in the Russian Federation the deterioration in the health of adolescents is socially conditioned in most cases. Real evidence is provided that the problem of preserving life and promoting adolescent health can only be solved through the implementation of an integrated approach and coordinated actions of federal executive bodies.

Possibilities of using the quality of life indicator in pediatrics

Features of the psychological condition of a chronically ill child with different severity of the disease course

Psychological support of the family of a child in the intensive care unit

In the article the directions of psychological help to the parents of a child with a serious life-threatening disease located in the intensive care unit are examined. The dependence between the psychoemotional state of the mother (suppressed, excited, stable) and the nature of its interaction with the child is revealed, the qualitative psychological characteristics of the behavior of the mothers of each of the groups are given, the tasks and directions of psychological assistance are presented.

In the article the main directions of interdisciplinary interaction of the average medical personnel of the pediatric institution and specialists in the psychological and pedagogical profile are highlighted: establishing effective communication with the child and parents, providing emotional support to the child and parents in a stressful situation, creating comfortable conditions for patients in the process of medical manipulation and stay in the department, teaching parents and children to perform routine routines, and preventing their own emotional burnout.

Stages of psychological support of the child during the recovery of health after exacerbation of a chronic disease

In the article on the example of a clinical case, the experience of prolonged psychological support of a teenager with a chronic disease is presented, from the moment of his admission to the intensive care unit and ending with rehabilitation in outpatient and outpatient settings. The directions, forms and methods of psychological work with the child at each stage in the process of restorative treatment are described.
